I am in a conundrum and am needing guidance. I would ask you to continue to pray with me to find what needs to be done.
I have been asked to speak at the conference in the Philippines again as well as speak at the graduation of the school.
I have also been asked to schedule time to meet with three mission boards while I am there about the children’s home.
So, you ask, what is the problem? One of the big reasons that I was needing to go was to take care of some legal business for the children’s home. However, the lawyer tells me that he will not have the paperwork processed and ready for the time frame that I have vacation scheduled.
On one hand, it seems as if God is working things out to go, and on the other hand, it seems that to go at the scheduled time would not get the most important thing accomplished.
I ask that you pray for guidance. We are a faith-based mission, so we are not afraid to ask for prayer and support, so please pray with us.
Also, I just got a message as I was writing this that last night many of the people from the village went to high ground because an earthquake had caused the seas to be quite high.
They were afraid of flooding. It almost came into the children’s home. Several of the houses along the sea were damaged.
The earthquake was in the north-east corner of the island of Mindanao and was a 6.7 earthquake with 6 dead and many injured. I have included a PDF that you can see the initial reports of the damage. You will have to click on the link.
