This was taken the first year that Babeselle had to wear a uniform. Her mother bought the uniform and shoes. In one of the boxes that I send regularly, I had sent some socks and some photography accessories including jewelry, from a photo business that I had liquidated. The children enjoyed playing with it. The bag came from the ukay-ukay store, which is like our second-hand stores. The merchandise is usually things that Goodwill and similar stores cannot sell.
It is time for school supplies and for the older ones, school uniforms. One of the teachers told me that many of the children start dropping out of school around the 6th grade. Part of that is the increased expenses associated with the schooling.
For the girls, 2 uniforms and a pair of shoes costs 2,700 pesos, or around $60.00 USD for one girl to be outfitted. We have 4 girls that will need uniforms.

We are fortunate that a contributor of ours, found clothes that we were able to send that included outfits that the 3 boys can use. We will only need to see about shoes for the boys. The shoes cost around $20.00 USD each pair for the school uniform specified shoes.
